My little brother, Dalton, and his friend Katrina both shared a 16th birthday party that had a movie theme. The cake reflects their school and the clubs that they are in, (she's a cheerleader, and he's in band.), and then I made inserts for the back of the cake and cupcakes which has their faces on different characters from their favorite movies. This cake was a MONSTER! I swear it weighed 30 pounds when it was finished.

Wedding Cupcakes!
A dear friend and co-worker of mine got married at Diamond Oaks Country Club this past April and asked me to do the cupcakes for the wedding. She was nice enough to email me some of the professional pictures the photographer took during the reception. I think they turned out classy and adorable. :) Congrats again to Mr. and Mrs. Owens!

Princess Romie Cake
I'm Back!!!
Sorry for the (almost 3 month long) hiatus. My father (pictured above with me only 2 weeks after surgery), who lives in Southern California, had to under go quadruple bypass surgery at the beginning of February. I was away helping him recover and was not able to take any orders.
All is well now though! He has almost fully recovered and is getting stronger by the day.
For those of you who were aware, thank you so much for your prayers and support.
Love,
Me.

The Hooter's Cake
So I don't normally agree to do cakes because I don't feel that I'm at that level yet in my baking, but a colleaugue of mine asked me to do this cake for his friends' birthday coming up. He wanted a Hooter's Girl Cake with a backscratcher placed somewhere on the cake (inside joke between friends is what I was told). So I did my best and this is what the product looked like when it was finished.
***Sidenote, I apologize if this picture offends anyone, I blushed a little while I was decorating this cake. Haha***
I made the backscratcher out of gumpaste so it would hold its shape. :)
Here is a picture of the cake before it was personalized for the client.

The Celebratory Cupcake!
My husband Matt has been getting his feet wet in the voice-over industry for the past year. After doing several v.o. jobs for training videos, product pitches, and audio reels, Matt finally landed his first televised and radio broadcast commercial! Since the commercial is for a jeweler out of Illinois neither commercial will be broadcast in Texas but the folks from adiamondisforever.com kindly sent Matt the actual commercial which is now on his website www.matthewkendrick.com so if you're interested, check it out! Or if you know anyone that needs some voice over work to be done. **WINK** :) So, being the proud wife that I am, I made him a special jumbo cupcake to mark such an exciting accomplishment in his career. See the pics below!
