Below are pictures from Race for the Cure in Fort Worth. The turnout was AWESOME and Flower/Flour was so blessed to be a part of it. We were racing for Survivor Laurel Brackenridge, and her sister Julie, who sadly lost her battle with cancer last Novemeber. Our team ended up raising nearly $2000 for the cure!
I've always seen art as one of my stongest forms of inspiration. If I ever need to take a break from anything negative or stressful in my life I turn to making art. Whether it be a painting, a piece of jewelry or even a cupcake, having a creative outlet soothes my soul. In the past year I've been creating art through cupcakes and cakes. It started as a type of curiosity. Would I really be good at this? Is working with fondant similar to working with modeling clay? Could I actually make a really good piece of edible art? All of these questions were answered the day I completed my first custom order. I've completely fallen in love with decorating cupcakes and hopefully, one day soon, I can make this a full time career. In the meantime, I'm having a blast building my portfolio and I can't wait to see what the future has instore for my "art"! :)
