Administrative Professional's Day!

Where would the corporate world (and non corporate world for that matter) be without the secretaries and admin assistants who work to make office life organized and wonderful?! Flower/Flour says "Thank You" to all the little people out there who make the C.E.O.'s and Big Whigs look GREAT! Happy Administrative Professional's Day!

This year, Flower/Flour featured a package that included a small fresh flower arrangement and three mini cupcakes.

Monarch Butterfly Cupcakes!

I made the wings out of colored melting wafers from Wilton and added white non pariels for a more realistic effect. Like a couple others on this blog, I found this idea in "Hello, Cupcake!" I hand made the "Thank You" inserts to fit the idea that the client wanted. What a sweet way to show your gratitude towards someone huh? Sure beats a greeting card! :)

Teen Girl Birthday Cupcakes!

She wanted something very pink mixed with some chocolate. :) So this is what I came up with. Since I couldn't use a flash on the camera, it's hard to tell the color of pink, but trust me, the pink was perfect.

Thomas the Train Cupcakes!

I made these for a client's nephew who LOVES Thomas the Train. I hope he enjoys eating them as much as I enjoyed making them. :)

Guitar Cupcakes!

How fun are these!?!? I made the cupcakes JUMBO so that they could hold the peanut butter and chocolate guitars that I made from a mold I purchased off Amazon.com!

Race For the Cure! 4/11/2009

Below are pictures from Race for the Cure in Fort Worth. The turnout was AWESOME and Flower/Flour was so blessed to be a part of it. We were racing for Survivor Laurel Brackenridge, and her sister Julie, who sadly lost her battle with cancer last Novemeber. Our team ended up raising nearly $2000 for the cure!

Neon/Neon!

The blog title reflects one of my favorite John Mayer songs. And so do the cupcakes! :) This was just some weekend practicing with some neon piping. Very "spring-ish" don't ya think?

Community Bank Luncheon!

I created these traditional white cupcakes for the local Community Bank meeting/luncheon. The logo is made from hand dyed rolled fondant and the detailing is vanilla buttercream.

Simply Spring!

I love how simple, yet elegant these mini's look. They would be great for a spring wedding!

Supporting the Local Fire Department!

Fort Worth Fire Department came to FLOUR because they wanted some themed cupcakes for the annual board meeting. I made the fire trucks out of molded white and dark chocolate, the flames and logo out of rolled fondant and buttercream, the department's initials out of royal icing, and on a select few, put some Atomic Fireballs on top. ;) Enjoy F.W.F.D.! And THANK YOU for all that you do in our community!

Easter Cupcakes!

Order some today!!! I got this idea from Hello, Cupcake! The book says to use white circus peanuts, however, since you can only get white circus peanuts by bulk through the internet- I decided to just make my own bunny feet out of white fondant. I've got more Easter themed cupcakes ideas, so keep checking back for updates!

Now taking orders for Mini's!!!!

'Betcha can't eat just one! :)

Perfect for April Fool's Day!

Want to psych out your friends on April Fool's? Then you should order these!!! I got the idea from Hello, Cupcake! The cake and icing are both vanilla. The "sauce" is strawberry glaze and the "meatball" is a Forerro Roche chocolate candy. These were SO MUCH FUN to create!!!

Marigolds and Ladybugs!

Happy 17th Birthday Allanah! I piped these Lemon Ice Box cupcakes using the small leaf tip. For the lady bugs, I used small Cherryheads and tinted black vanilla frosting.

Welcome Baby Jacklynn!

A co-worker had her little baby girl, Jacklynn! I made these last night and will have them be delivered to her hospital room today. Lucky for my co-worker, these are THE BEST tasting cupcakes that I have ever created! I think the flavor may even be a FLOWER/FLOUR singature cupcake! It's really delish! If you're curious, you should order some! :) Anywho- Congrats to Carla and Charlie on their very first baby!

Happy Birthday Mom!!!

My sister and I showed up yesterday and suprised our mother with some birthday goodies! The flowers and cupcakes were a big hit and the talk of the day! Happy Birthday Mom! We love you very much!

The setup. :)

The flowers! White Hydrangeas, Pink Kaliediscope Roses, Yellow Daffodills, Assorted Tulips and filler flowers.

I wanted a "spring" feel so I piped ivory flowers and little bumble bees! I paired these cupcakes with minature cheesecakes topped with a stawberry puree.

Luck O' the Irish

Happy St. Patty's Day everyone! Hooray for pots of gold and green beer! I just finished creating these little gems for a corporate office downtown. They took me a little over three hours to make and decorate, but the timing was worth it! Hope these get you in the St. Patrick's spirit. :)

Chocolate Star Tip Cupcakes!

These are simple, but still adorable. :) Ch-Ch-Ch-Check it out!

Classic butter cake with chocolate buttercream and rainbow jimmies.

Milk & Cookies

This has been the yummiest cupcake to date! First off, my favorite icecream is Cookies & Cream, so I couldn't help but to create a cupcake that tasted just like it! The cake part is devil's food and the icing is a cream cheese vanilla with hand chopped double stuffed oreos. YUMM!!!
Got any takers??? :)
