Snow-Topped Mountain Cupcakes!

My brother in law had a "Careful" movie watching party this past weekend. The movie was centered around this small town that was surrounded on all sides, by snow topped mountains. Everyone is the village had to be very careful because any of their actions could trigger a devestating avalanche. I wanted to create some cupcakes that went along with the movie and came up with these:

Butterfinger with Carmel Drizzle Cupcakes!

WOAH! These turned out very decadant and rich. I wanted to make an elegant, gormet type of cupcake, and this is what transpired. :) HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!!!

Up Close...

Up Closer... ;)

Happy Birthday Matthew!!!

My husband Matt turned 34 on May 16th! He wanted an all Lemon cake. Lemon icing, lemon cake, lemon filling... so I created just that! Here are pictures of the cake that was very delicious. :)

Cinnamon Coffee Cake Cupcakes!

Oh my! These were AWESOME! I swirled chunks of cinnamon goo throughout the cake. I think everyone was wishing that they could have more than one!

Mother's Day Cupcakes!

I made some fun cupcakes for some clients who wanted to impress their mom's on Sunday for Mother's Day. :)

Marshmellow puff flowers!

Just for fun...BROWNIES!!!!

Mmmmm... who doesn't love brownies right?!! I thought it would be cute to bake browines in little cupcake liners- so I did it. And now, I LOVE it! Baking them seperatly keeps the brownie super moist and the liners allow it to be more portable. I made some pretty teal icing brownies, and some pig browines to mock the Swine Flu craziness that the whole world seems to be in. (Hey, it may be in poor taste, but I thought it was funny...)

Brownies with teal colored CreamCheese frosting!

I made the pigs out of rolled fondant and dyed buttercream. Oink! Oink! :)

Cherry Blossom Cake!

Happy Birthday Liz!!! I hope you like Cherry Blossoms! :) This was my first time using a 10inch round cake pan- and I love it! :) I made the tree trunks out of dark chocolate and the cherry blossoms from fondant. I then used shimmer dust to make the whole cake sparkle, but it's kind of hard to pick up on that through photography.

One side-unfinished.

The other side-Finished! :)

Baby Shower Cupcakes! Oh Boy!

I'm really happy with the way that these came out and I had such a wonderful time making them! These are cupcakes that I did last night for a baby shower this afternoon. I can't wait to hear feedback from the party!

Peek-A-Boo Babies under the blanket!

Up close. :)

I custom made these little cupcake toppers!
The one below was my personal favorite!

I made the little bears, and blue discs out of rolled and dyed fondant.
That's them! I can't wait to get an order in for a Baby Girl Shower... The ideas are just taking over the brain!!!

Administrative Professional's Day!

Where would the corporate world (and non corporate world for that matter) be without the secretaries and admin assistants who work to make office life organized and wonderful?! Flower/Flour says "Thank You" to all the little people out there who make the C.E.O.'s and Big Whigs look GREAT! Happy Administrative Professional's Day!

This year, Flower/Flour featured a package that included a small fresh flower arrangement and three mini cupcakes.

Monarch Butterfly Cupcakes!

I made the wings out of colored melting wafers from Wilton and added white non pariels for a more realistic effect. Like a couple others on this blog, I found this idea in "Hello, Cupcake!" I hand made the "Thank You" inserts to fit the idea that the client wanted. What a sweet way to show your gratitude towards someone huh? Sure beats a greeting card! :)

Teen Girl Birthday Cupcakes!

She wanted something very pink mixed with some chocolate. :) So this is what I came up with. Since I couldn't use a flash on the camera, it's hard to tell the color of pink, but trust me, the pink was perfect.

Thomas the Train Cupcakes!

I made these for a client's nephew who LOVES Thomas the Train. I hope he enjoys eating them as much as I enjoyed making them. :)

Guitar Cupcakes!

How fun are these!?!? I made the cupcakes JUMBO so that they could hold the peanut butter and chocolate guitars that I made from a mold I purchased off Amazon.com!

Race For the Cure! 4/11/2009

Below are pictures from Race for the Cure in Fort Worth. The turnout was AWESOME and Flower/Flour was so blessed to be a part of it. We were racing for Survivor Laurel Brackenridge, and her sister Julie, who sadly lost her battle with cancer last Novemeber. Our team ended up raising nearly $2000 for the cure!

Neon/Neon!

The blog title reflects one of my favorite John Mayer songs. And so do the cupcakes! :) This was just some weekend practicing with some neon piping. Very "spring-ish" don't ya think?

Community Bank Luncheon!

I created these traditional white cupcakes for the local Community Bank meeting/luncheon. The logo is made from hand dyed rolled fondant and the detailing is vanilla buttercream.
